Participant’s responsibility
Throughout this document and any communications related to the event, 2026 Parks Challenge™, the term “Park” or “Parks” indicates a Parks Challenge-designated place where participants may run, hike or walk including and not limited to: Municipal Parks, CRD Parks, Provincial Parks, National Parks, National Historic Sites, UNESCO Heritage Sites and recreational or public lands. International parks are valid, including, for example, State Parks in the United States.
While the 2026 Parks Challenge™ app (for uploading routes) is automated, it is the participant’s responsibility to supply any and all information regarding any “Parks” he or she may have entered and submitted.
International Parks will count, however, may be subject to manual inclusion and may experience minor delays.
For CRD Parks, the “Map” supplied by the Parks Challenge is the official map that governs the area. All other parks may be subject to adjudication.

Waiver
Official Release / Agreement
As consideration for being permitted by the club, Prairie Inn Harriers Running Club to participate in the 2026 Parks Challenge, I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue or attach the property of the Promoters and Sponsors, for any and all injuries or damage arising from my participation in the 2026 Parks Challenge. I also give free use of my name and/or picture in any broadcast, telecast, or other account of this event.
Assumption of Risk
I am aware that running/walking in the Parks Challenge is a strenuous and potentially dangerous activity. With knowledge of the risk involved, I hereby agree to accept any and all risks of injury or death. I represent and certify that I am physically fit, and I have sufficiently trained for this event. I have carefully read this agreement and understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability, and a contract between myself and the Promoters and Sponsors and I sign it of my own free will.
